My first week at Alton Towers ...
I am now just into my second week of drawing 'live' caricatures at Alton Towers with my mentors Mick Hollinworth and Mike Carlon. I have to say I am loving it ... IT'S AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! I just thought I would post some of the work I have produced over the past week. I am really looking forward to seeing a vast improvement in my skills by the end of the season!

Wayne, the drawings look fantastic, and you seem to get a lot of colour ones to do? I, like you have just started at the Theme Parks (Thorpe, Chessington WOA, Legoland) and I am enjoying it, and hope to gain lots of experience and confidence, although at present I seem to draw a lot of cute kids? Most of the ones we do are Black&White with only a few colour occaisionally. If you are wondering we have met once at Steve Hearns Draw Fest, I was the large rotund good looking guy (who am I kidding) and have been stalking your Blog for a while. If you wish to stalk back, my blog is Fantasy of a Fatboy.blogspot. I wish you every success and if I get a chance I will stop by Alton Towers to get some tips.

I certainly remember meeting you and I vaguely recall drawing you as well .. If my memory serves me right? Good to hear you are getting around the theme parks, I think it's the best experience you can have as a caricature artist, it's fab working alongside mike carlon and Mick hollinworth too, I am learning a lot from them both and they are very awesome guys, it's nice to have made good friends with them both.
